On Saturday, Mendip United were crowned Premier Division champions for the second year running after closest rivals Longwell Green Reserves and Highridge United played out a 2-2 draw.Mendip had needed just a point to secure their place at the summit thanks to a 2-2 draw of their own at Lebeq FC in midweek, but Longwell Green's result meant the title was confirmed without them kicking a ball.Ultimately, Longwell Green paid the price for their slow start to the season, but will take some solace from their second-placed finish, which was confirmed with a 5-1 midweek win against Winterbourne United Reserves.Highridge United secured a third-placed finish after cruising to a 5-0 win over Eden Grove on the same evening.
